Thailand Lyra Retreat 2026
With Fly Karavek and Shannon Prickett
An experience like no other, you'll be immersed in nature, culture and your aerial practice
Welcome
Fly Karavek is a private, invitation only aerial retreat experience located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It was created with the intention of connecting like-minded aerialists, exploring movement together and enriching our spirits with the meaningful traditions of Thailand.
This retreat will run for 6 days and 5 nights. It will include approximately 20 hours of lyra training combined with pilates, dance, silk fans, flexibility and special apparatuses. This is a once in a lifetime experience like no other! Further information on excursions and activities below.

Training
Pictured is the beautiful, open air pavillion where your training will take place. It has 17 points rigged to a pulley system, with 6-9m of ceiling height.
Your host, Shannon, will run a series of lyra workshops here as well as specialty classes.
Examples:
- Aerial Exploration
- Lyra strap tricks
- Special Apparatus session with moon, star, sphere etc

Accommodation
Stay in your very own private room with wifi, located near the training pavilion and surrounded by nature.
Enjoy fresh farm-to-table cuisine to recharge you after a long day of training. Dietary requirements can be catered for in advance.

Elephant Sanctuary Experience
Find your flow amongst the sacred animals of Thailand. You will visit a humane elephant sanctuary where they are well cared for and live happily. These curious creatures will love watching you on the lyra.

Temple Visit Excursions
Visit local Buddhist temples, including the iconic White Temple of Chiang Rai, and the Blue Temple, known for its vibrant colours and intricate design. You will be immersed in the beautiful culture of Thailand and also take part in a morning ritual of offering food to the monks.

Hot Air Balloon Experience
Be whisked away in the early hours for a magical morning of aerial hammock on a hot air balloon.
If you haven't done hammock before, your host will take you through basic poses and shapes that you can perform safely in the days before this experience.

Mini Performance Night
Perform something you’ve been working on, or a full act, in a supportive environment amongst friends!
This is entirely optional, but we highly recommend giving it a go.
